So... I'm feeling a tad childish and mopey at the moment. This month happens to be the month of my birthday. I'm turning twenty-two, nothing too exciting. But I'd like to believe that my parents and brother care enough to make time for that day just in case I feel like being congratulated on not spontaneously combusting before I turned twenty two.

No such luck. The weekend before my birthday my mum is going out of town to pick up this new RV that she bought. I don't mind that so much because I'm going out of town as well for Renfest and will be spending time with my boyfriend. The weekend after however, she's going to some sort of RV round up or other dorky business. My father, who works out of town, so kindly brought to her attention that they didn't plan a weekend to celebrate my birthday.

So as a last thought, my mom told me to go to the round up with her and my dad will meet us there and that's when I'll get presents and birthday dinner and such.

Awesome. So, I'm spending my birthday doing something my mum wanted to do and was invited to as an after thought. She remembered she had to actually be a parent. *sigh* I don't mind so much. At least that's what I'm telling myself. I mean, who wouldn't want to sit in front of an RV with a turkey sandwich and mosquitoes eating them alive for their birthday.

All I can say is they better have good vodka... and a lot of it.

I'm already camping the weekend before, I don't want that to be all my birthday is about, I'm not even a huge fan of camping. Especially in a cramped little RV.
